Albert CRESWELL (French, 1879-1936)
Albert Cresswell was a French painter born in Paris, France in 1879. He belonged to the Symbolism art style often painting subjects such as landscapes, cityscapes,
floral still lifes, and allegorical and mythological scenes of figurative women, often nude. He was a student of fellow artists Gustave Boulanger, Jules Joseph Lefebvre,
and Luc-Olivier Merson. Cresswell was a member of La Société des Artistes Français where he exhibited between 1880 until 1929. He was awarded an Honorable
Mention in 1892 and the Médaille de Troisième Classe in 1907. Cresswell later died in 1936.
